Video Professor Launches Windows Vista® Preview CD

Microsoft®’s new line of graphical operating systems, called Windows Vista, was released to the general public on January 30, 2007. Immediately after its release, Video Professor was able to offer its customers a preview of Windows Vista, so that the users themselves might decide whether or not an upgrade to the system was an appropriate choice for them. Using the Video Professor Windows Vista Preview CD, users are able to receive a walk-through of each of the different versions (as there are Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate and Enterprise editions), and thereby informed to arrive at their own decisions pertaining to which version is right for them. Video Professor makes things even easier. The CD is able to examine and assess your computer’s hardware configuration, to determine if your computer is compatible with the software. Video Professor’s Windows Vista Preview CD is not a tutorial or guide to the system, but rather an introduction to it—a sampler of sorts.

Video Professor Introduces Digital Photography Tutorial

Digital Photography has certainly taken the world by storm and rendered film photography all but obsolete. In the last three years, approximately 1.2 digital cameras have been manufactured. These statistics come from the Camera and Imaging Products association. But for the digital camera beginner or the film photographer not wanting to turn from his/her old ways, entering the world of digital photography may pose a mysterious and perplexing challenge. Fortunately, Video Professor has stepped up to provide a tutorial that illuminates and addresses this very subject; it will make digital photography a breeze for anyone. The new tutorial is a set of three-CDs containing step-by-step instructions on how to take, edit and share pictures. More than that, the CDs also provide lessons on how to take the perfect photo, how to remove red-eye and how to make and edit short films. The sky’s the limit with this tutorial.

Recognizing outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals and awarded by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the Marcom awards were awarded to the Creative Services and Production teams at Video Professor. They received a Platinum award in the Television/Single Spot category; in the Design/Packaging category, Video Professor’s Creative Services team received a Gold award.

First Quarter Computer Literacy Donations Announced

John W. Scherer, founder of Video Professor, has made it a point to be generous in returning to his neighbors in Colorado as well as donating to charitable causes in the rest of the U.S. and abroad. Video Professor has been giving back to the community by literally giving out free Video Professor tutorials to those who can benefit from them. In 2006, Video Professor donated to Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC so that soldiers undergoing treatment might have free and unlimited access to Video Professors titles available online. South Piedmont Community College in Monroe, North Carolina also received a donation from Video Professor—one they could not otherwise have afforded. Video Professor provided Family Life Training in Littleton, Colorado with Photoshop and PowerPoint® tutorials to help the staff create better presentations in the future. Software was also provided to Dr. Mark Goodman in Indianapolis, Indiana, who is helping victims of Hurricane Kat! rina by administering to their physical needs but also teaching them invaluable computer skills. The Animal Medical Center was given a donation that was auctioned off for money that would support the center, as was the case with Trips for Kids in Denver, Colorado. Video Professor supplied the Family Support Center at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland with software so that family members of military personnel might be able to improve upon their computer skills.

For many years, Video Professor has taught its customers how to use computers. Now, it will teach them how to make money on the Internet, with a new tutorial about the ins and outs of eBay. Take it from John W. Scherer and Video Professor, who was able to foresee the success of learn-from-home computer education software. With the tutorial, you are able to learn the basics: get started, register, and search for items you’d like to buy. You will also learn eBay terminology like proxy bids and Dutch auctions. As a seller, you will learn the basics of eBay’s fee structure; you will also learn how to create pages that will effectively sell your product.

Video Professor Advertises At 200 MPH

Named Rookie of the Year of the Indy Racing League, Danica Patrick is an exceptional auto racer who also earned Rookie of the Year honors at the Indy 500. So when John W. Scherer, CEO & founder of Video Professor, was approached with the chance to advertise on Danica Patrick’s helmet, he quickly jumped at it. The Video Professor logo was sported on Danica Patrick’s head for the final two races of the IRL season.

Video Professor Computer Literacy Day in Modesto
8/29/05
High school students in Modesto, CA were gifted with $270,000 worth of Video Professor Online computing tutorials. Corlene Goff, a Modesto woman, had entered a Video Professor July 4th sweepstakes. She won a 2006 Chrysler 300C. While in Modesto, the Video Professor team learned of the efforts being done to educate students in Modesto about computers. They decided a donation was in order. Dennis Cardoza, a member of Congress, proclaimed August 29 “Video Professor Computer Literacy Day” in Modesto, in an official written document.
