A mannequin meant to fool police as a second rider in a carpool lane was purchased for $15,000 by Video Professor. The dummy consisted of a Styrofoam head, coat hanger, newspaper stuffing and was dressed in clothing. Since then, the dummy has been rebuilt. Her paper body has been refashioned into foam, and she wears designer jeans and fashionable clothes.

Another piece about Video Professor’s purchase of Tillie, the unsuccessful carpool impersonator. Tillie was sold as part of Greg Pringle’s sentence. The agreement stated that Pringle would donate any profits from his “Free Tillie” web site and an auction to the Alive at 25 driver safety awareness program. On top of this, Pringle was charged a fine of $115, and forced to stand by the side of the highway with a sign that said “HOV lane not for dummies.”
